Taylor Baby

 We are having a baby January 2013! Danniqa is excited. Jana has no clue.

After we were done doing pictures the girls got up and were headed inside. Then Jana went back and sat down on the blanket again. So I snapped another picture.

We sure are excited to add another little member to our family. I have been a little sick but that is starting to go away. So for now things are going well.

Morning time

Jana loves when Danniqa is with us. During the summer we get her from Wednesday morning to Friday night. Jana loves it. The other morning Danniqa was sitting in the chair and Jana went over and put a book in the chair and climbed up. She wanted her to read to her and she did. Then Danniqa was asking Jana if she wanted cheerios or a drink. Jana wanted food. I love these little girls so much!

Baby Elinor

Sausha had her baby on Friday the 13th. She is so cute. Elinor Kaye Christensen was born at 12:30ish in the afternoon. She was 6 lbs 12 oz and 19 inches long. We are so happy to have this cute little one join our family! Mom and baby are both great and doing wonderful!

Cousins

After we got home from Canada, Jana and I headed down to Spanish Fork to visit with Dad, Vicki, Sausha, Esther, Casey(Vicki's Son), Kylie and their little Ellie. We spent the night and Jana and Esther actually played really well together. It was really good to spend some time with my family. I hadn't seen them in a couple of weeks. I know that doesn't sound very long but also my sister is moving to Denver at the end of this month and I am kind of sad about that.

Wave pool and Zoo

Wednesday night we headed to a wave pool. Kev took Jana on a water slide for the first time. She loved it.

Thursday we headed to the Calgary Zoo. It was a great time. Though I was super tired by the end. 

 All of Becky's family, Grandma and us. We ate lunch there and the weather was perfect.

I love going to the Calgary Zoo. It is so much better then our humble little zoo in Utah.

Then early Friday morning we headed home. We had a great time with the family in Canada. We love being together and try to get there as often as we can. Thanks family for showing us a great time!

Sunday, Fireworks

On Sunday we went to church, picked Kevin up from the Lethbridge Airport, had Sunday dinner, Interviewed Grandma Mae and just hung out as a family. It was a great day and I was so glad that Kevin was there. Jana about went crazy when she saw her dad getting off the plane.

Then on Monday we got up and headed to the Parade.

Then after the parade we headed over to Grandma Mae's home and had a huge lunch. While there Grandma Mae gave each of the kids, grandkids and great grand kids a goodie bag with money in it. It was so sweet of her.

Then that night there was a party in the road. Danniqa loved the slide

 While we watched fireworks. It was a busy and fun day!

Road Race

On Saturday we got up at 6:30am and got ready to get out the door. The kids were going to be running in the Road Race. At first Danniqa had said she didn't want to do it but then she changed her mind.

Here are the kiddos before we head off. Billy and Adam would be doing the 5k and Amy, Jenny and Danniqa were doing the 2k

 Raymond was having all of the runners do a balloon release before the race started.

 The kids wanted to be at the very front of the pack and they booked it out of the starting line.

On the 2k overall there were 79 runners and Danniqa came in 18th with a time of 12 minutes and 20 seconds. (Amy was 13th and Jenny was 12th at 11:26 and 11:53) In just females Danniqa came in 9th! She did a great job! When she was all done I asked her if she had fun and she said yes! Then I asked her if she wanted to do it again next year and she said, No!

After the race we headed over for the city pancake breakfast. It was a great way to start out the morning.

Afterward Karen, Becky and I went and did some shopping. Then later that eveing we went swimming ( sorry no pictures as I didn't have the husband around to help)

Craft time

After being back at Grandma's we decided that we should do a craft. Grandma had some treasure chest that everyone could paint. So we got started.

 Jana was very excited about the prospect of having her own.

 But when it came down to it she wanted to paint every where but on the box.

 So mom painted it and then we put her handprint on it.

Everyone did a great job.But I am just realizing that I didn't take a picture of all the finished projects.....hmmm... I guess I will do that later.

Canada

On Wednesday June 27th Danniqa, Jana and I headed out for Calgary Canada. Our flight was at 8 something in the evening and after goin through customs and driving to Becky's house we made it there at about 11pm. We didn't tell the kids that Danniqa was coming with me because we weren't sure she was going to be able to. (Kevin would be headed up a few days later on Sunday) I was excited that she got to come. The kids were all asleep by the time that we got there and Danniqa just slipped into bed. So they had a surprise when they woke up.

On Thursday we were in Calgary and then headed out for Grandma's house in Raymond. We would be spending several days in Raymond for the July 1st festivities. Grandma was working so we didn't get to her house until she would be off work a little after 7pm.

Then on Friday we headed out to Ridge park. We spent several hours there and had a great time. (The weather has been so much cooler here then at home! I am loving it!)

 All of the kids love to play with Jana. Plus she has been making some really funny faces lately that have us all cracking up.

 There is a lake there and so we had to go down by the water. Jana really wanted to get into the water.

 And then she kept trying to sit down. It took everything Danniqa had to keep her from sitting.

 Then the kids took her down the slide. She decided she could do it by herself. Though she only liked going on her tummy.

It was a lot of fun. Then we went back to Grandma's house.
