Movements

So I think I have been feeling Baby Girl move for a little over a week but I didn't want to say definitely she was moving because I was afraid it was just gas. But definitely over the last 3 days I have been feeling her move. And tonight I was downstairs and kev was upstairs and she was moving all around. I had stuck my hand on my stomach and I could swear I could feel it on my hand. So being lazy and Kevin being two floors above me I called him on the phone and told him to come downstairs and see if he could feel her. And he was sitting there for a minute and I looked at him and I felt her move and saw his face change at the same time. I asked him did you feel that, His answer was "I think so." I told him his face had said otherwise. Then he started walking up the stairs and I heard him say something. I asked what did you say. His response was "I was just giggling." Oh how I love my husband and this little baby girl. It was fun to see how excited he was and fun to have him feel her. :)

Games

So Danniqa went downstairs to play Barbies but then she came upstairs and wanted Dad and I to both come downstairs. She wanted to play games. So we played Chutes and Ladders and then Candy Land. During the first game of Candy land Danniqa wasn't doing great and so Kevin and I thought she wasn't paying attention and so we started to on occasion move backward. So Danniqa won. Then we played again. And Danniqa was WAY ahead of us. And then she started moving herself backward so she wasn't so far ahead of us. We started laughing! It was so cute. And I just love that she wanted to play games with us instead of doing other things. I love it!

Report Card

We got Danniqa's report card for the second quarter. She again has all A+'s. She has done a really good job. She is continuing to learn to read on a 1st grade level. She is doing well in Math were she is doing double digit math with both addition and subration. She continues to amazing me with different information that she knows. We are so proud of her. She was able to get her first BYU shirt and a Cosmo stuffed animal as a reward. She was pretty happy.

Little Girl

So we went in to my doctor today. Last week was for a research project that I am a part of. We had an ultrasound and we were hoping to verify it was a girl. However, the girlie is stubborn. She was sound asleep, curled up in a ball on her stomach, and did not move. So her spine was casting a shadow so they couldn't see. :( But they will have me come back in a month to see if we can see things better.

So we are doing hypnobirthing and I was talking to Dr. Laine about it. How is wonderful. However, I did find out that they won't let me go over 39 weeks because of my blood pressure. It continues to be a little on the high side. Not enough that I have to do medication yet. Dr. Laine told me though that if I am wanting to do natural and I end up being induced that she will work with me to do it slower so that I can do it. She was really great and supportive. She also said that she hopes that if I end up needing and epidural or medical intervention that I don't feel like a failure if it is in the best interest for the baby's health. I love my Doctor! She really just makes me feel safe and like things are going to work out.

PS it is 4 in the morning and I am awake and way emotional. I was just on facebook and my sister had a picture up of my mom. So if this blog seems overally emotional.....that is way...oh yea and I am pregnant and emotional anyway.

I love you too!

So Thursday was a great day. We found out about the baby but even more so I heard some great words. Danniqa has mumbled she loves me on occassion but it has been quite some time since I have heard anything close to it. On Thursday night when it was time for her to head home I gave her a hug and a kiss like always and told her I love her and then I turned away. And then..... I heard "Love you too." I know I probably shouldn't be so excited about it but it just made my month. I have to admit that I even cried a little. I love this little girl so much and to hear that she knows it and loves me means the world to me. I know that she loves me and feels comfortable with me by her actions but those words are the best ever!

And its a .........

GIRL! or at least they are 95% sure it is a girl. She was a little uncooperative but they were pretty sure. So Baby Jana Grace Taylor will be joining us in June! We are really excited.

Christmas

We didn't take many pictures at Christmas but here is Danniqa with her presents. She got three Barbies all from Grandparents. She got books, a barbie house, a barbie car and webkinz.

This is what our kitchen table looked like for a few days. She got a pool with one of the Barbies but I won't let her put water in it on carpet. So the table became Barbie land for a day....or two.

The other side

Grandma Taylor gave a her a book where it is just a blank face and she gets to put the eyes, eyebrows, lips and accessories on. She loved it!

Frosting christmas cookies

Christmas Present exchange between all the cousins. We took them to the Dollar store and had each of the six kids buy for the other five. It was fun

We got to see Grandma Mae - Kevin's Grandma for a few minutes as we were headed home.
