Spelling Bee

On Jan 14, the day we had Drew, Danniqa won her classroom spelling bee! She did a great job! Then she went for the school Spelling Bee that Thursday. She didn't want us to go but from our understanding there were approximately 45 kids in the spelling bee. Danniqa made it to 9th place. We are so proud of her and what a hard worker she is.

2 Weeks

Drew had his 2 week appointment yesterday. First of all I was really grateful for LeeOra. I thought I was going to have to take both him and Jana to the appointment in the snow. Which carrying him and holding on to her didn't sound like a ton of fun.

Drew looked great at his appointment. When he was born he was 8 lbs and 21.5 inches. When we left the hospital he had dropped down to 7 lbs 9 oz. Yesterday he was 8 lbs 7 oz and 22.5 inches. He is in the 100% for his length and 75% for his weight. Dr. Ralston said that he was doing great nad looked good. He told me he was perfect. :) So at this point we are all doing well. We are just working on figuring out life and how to have two little ones around the house.

Weekend Adventures

Grandma Taylor came into town! She has seen Drew through modern technology (we love Skype and Facetime) but she got to meet our little man on Friday.

 We tried to get a picture of the three kids with Grandma.... this is what all of them looked like to some varying degree. Jana wanted nothing to do with it.

 Jake (Kevin's sister Melissa's little guy) is 3 months and Drew.

 They blessed Jake this weekend. So while we were all together and dressed nice I decided we really needed a picture of the five of us since we hadn't gotten one yet. I think it turned out pretty good. Here is my cute little family!

 After the blessing we came home, Jana went down for a nap and apparently so did Drew and I.

 Kevin really wants his son to look like him. So we did some comparison pictures. On the top row you have Kev, Danniqa and then Drew. The ones below are Drew, Kevin and Danniqa. There are soon similarities, especially coloring.

Fotofly pictures

We went to Fotofly in Draper today. I love Fotofly. They have tons of backdrops and props. They do a great job on the pictures and so I was excited to go today. Here are some of the favorites. We came home with 60 edited pictures from a 45 minute session. Little Man slept through almost all of it and was great. I tried to just pull out the ones I like the most but it was hard. Here are some. 

I think this one is probably my favorite! Though it is hard to decide.

Jana loves when Danniqa is able to be at our house. Especially when she wakes up and finds her there. She loves playing with her and Danniqa is so good with her.

Papa & Nana's

With Kevin going back to work on Friday night I was not ready to be on my own with the kids. So we packed up and headed down to my dad's house for the weekend. Monday was a holiday and Vicki didn't have to work so we got there Friday afternoon and came home on Tuesday morning. I was so grateful for the help! I was able to get some sleep and just to have extra hands and not to have to do laundry or cleaning.

 We were a fan of the bouncer. He got to spend some time in it in the sun that we could find.

 She loves going into the toy closet and shutting the door. Then she opens it and says "Hi!" over and over until you respond back.
