1st day of school

It was Danniqa's first day of school. Her cousins had just gotten here and so Kev loaded them and Jana up in the car and went over to see Danniqa off for the day.

Surprise

Aug 19

We were planning on picking up Grandma (or Canada Grandma as Jana calls her) from the airport at 2:30pm. When Kevin got home it wasn't just him who walked through the door. Grandma was there along with Aunt Becky, Amy and Jenny. They drove through the night to surprise us. And surprise us they did! They came and spent the week with it in our new house. It was so fun to have them! We loved the surprise!

7 months

Drew is 7 months old!

I can't believe this little man is 7 months old.

He is sitting up on his own. 

Likes to stand if I get him up.

Rolling all OVER the place

Has 2 teeth

He is no longer nursing just bottles

He LOVES his bottles

Likes the fruit baby food but not the veggies

Loves to laugh at his sisters

Cries when mom walks out of the room

His eyes light up when he smiles

As Jana is continually saying "soft hair"

He is very loved by his sisters

Loves to be outside

He is so ticklish 

He giggles and giggles

He is so fun and we love this little guy. He is so sweet and mild mannered.

Davis County Fair

The Davis County Fair is in town. So we decided to go up and check it out on Thursday.

We stopped at Costco for lunch first. Jana was enjoying her hot dog.

Peek a boo

First things first, we headed over to ride the Elephant. I remember riding one when I was little and I wanted to let my kiddos have the experience as well. So Danniqa and Jana got to ride.

Then we went and looked at the bunnies

 Then went to the petting zoo

 And rode on the ponies

 We had fun at the fair!

 We got "face" painting on legs and arms.

It was a great day!

catch up

Drew had a tooth cut through on July 31st and then a second one a couple of days later. So buddy has two teeth. He and Jana both got sick about the same time. He was sick for several days and started refusing to nurse. So now little man is a bottle baby.

We Closed on our house on Aug 6th and we started moving in on the 8th. We still aren't done cleaning out the old place but we will finish that up this week. We are loving the extra space that we have. Though Jana is having a little of hard time adjusting. She keeps talking about "Jana's house and new house." She is doing a little better but we have had a few hard nights with the change.

Jana is talking so much  more. Today I told her to go and put something in her room. Her response, " No....I drink milk first." She is so funny and cute! I love this little girl.

Once I have my house put together I will put some pictures up! We went to our new ward and it was good. I am excited to get settled here.

Donut Falls hike

July 28

We decided to go and do the donut falls hike again now that the snow is gone. We had Danniqa with us and she was our photographer. So she took all the pictures except the ones that she is in. We had a hard time doing some of the hike s with Jana walking and so my sister suggested that we put her in a pack. It was a much better hike that way. 

We tried to put her up higher but she wanted to be down low enough to pinch our elbows while we walked. 

 Jana, Drew and I stayed down by the water while Kevin and Danniqa hiked up higher.

 She wanted Danniqa to take her picture but then was acting like she was sleeping.....

It was a lot of fun! We really enjoyed the hike.
