Preparing for vacation

So I am learning that it takes much more effort to get a family ready to go on a trip then just one person. We are getting ready to go to Canada on Tuesday so I am doing laundry, packing, doing an activity bag and taking care of the necessities. It is much more work..... Oh the joys! But I love it!

So after we finished the octopus, I feed Danni some left overs for lunch. She liked he Ramona movie so much that I found some Ramona books and we start to read it the other night. So while she was eating I asked her if she wanted me to read to her. She said yes. She finished eating but didn't want me to stop reading. So we moved into the comfy chair. I continued to read and before I knew it little missy was sound asleep in my arms as I was reading. So as I have been blogging she has been asleep in my arms. She is getting so big even in the year and a half that I have known her but I love to still hold her. It is so fun and hard to describe the emotion of having a sleeping kid in my arms. I love her and am so grateful that I get to be a part of her life.

Danni got a book on how to do a bunch of cupcake creations from Grandma Taylor for her birthday. She has been trying to get me to try this one out with her ever since. So today we finally attempted to make the Ocotopus. I think we did ok? Thanks Grandma it was fun.

we used brown sugar for some sand. the blue cupcakes are water with white cap waves on them. not magnificent but we did ok.

Basement Fort

Dad and Danni built their fort and then made some cupcakes for a later project. When they finished Danni said she was going downstairs to play. What we found when we checked on her was Miss Danni fast asleep with a blanket and pillow in her fort.

Danni buried herself under all the blankets before building the fort.

July 24th fun

After the parade on Friday and after having not seen the girlie, she spent the night and her adn I got to go play. We started out the day by going shopping and picking up a couple of new things so we had enough clothes for Canada cause we are going shortly. Then we headed to the Bountiful park to play and eat goodies.

She got her face painted like a butterfly.

Danni and I went and saw the Movie "Ramona and Beezus." It was really cute. As we were leaving Danni looked at me and said, "Can we buy that movie when it comes out?" I asked her if that meant she liked it... She told me yes. We did enjoy it and I am sure we will see it again.

Danni got a big flower ballon when we were at the firework stand. They gave it to us for free. Then when we got to grandma and Bampa's house Danni took some pictures.

We ended the day with fireworks. Danni kept giggling whenever they were really loud. Especially the time they scared dad. Then we headed home. Danni fell asleep on the way home, she was so tired, it was a busy busy day.

Parade

Makayla and Danniqa had been gone for a whole week and we were excited to see them on Friday when they got home. They had to get ready to go to the parade so we took Danni and got ready and then met up with Makayla at the beginning of the parade.

Dad hung out with us until it started and then went to watch. Makayle did flips down the route and Danni rode on teh float.

When we got to the parade Danni wanted to be able to go on the float but she did not want me to leave her. So we both got to ride on the float.

Boondocks

We called Melissa and Brandon, Kev's sister adn her hubby, to see if they wanted to go and play on the 23rd. We decided that we should go to Boondocks. We played mini-golf - Melissa won, then Laser tag, I had the high score out of both teams. Then we went bowling- Brandon won. So Kevin is the only one that didn't win anything but we all had a good time. Here are some of the pictures.

Blog Stalker I am

So as I was updating the blog list I realized yet again how much of a blog stalker I am. There were several I did not list that I follow and read because I don't think those people have any clue that I read their blog. This is also why I HATE private blogs. Then if I want to keep following I have to admit that I have found them without their knowledge and have been reading about their lives. And that I am unwilling to give up getting the information about their lives. Luckily all that I have asked to be included in have....so I guess they weren't to freaked out by me. I love reading old friends blogs and some times acquaintances because I love hearing about others lives. So if you are on my list and didn't know I read your blog I apologize. If you aren't on my list and want to know if i read your blog or not ask. And if I am not I will start.

A New start!

So I decided that it was time to make a new start. We don't have a bunch of awkward moments so we get to have some new adventures. I am learning that building a family and finding the roles may take some time. even though we have been together for a while. It is still different. I am excited for my new adventure and in have fun from day to day. I love that Kevin is so good to me and will laugh and play with me when I am in my weird moods. So here are our adventures.
