overwhelmed, worn out, run down, not enough time

So that is how I have been feeling as of late. Everyone then asks well is it the pregnancy. Well actually I have felt fairly well. Though tired. I keep getting a cold and then I let things go and don't get them done. Then I feel overwhelmed and try and get them done. I was having this conversation with my sweet sister-in-law Jennie and about how my house is a wreck most of the time. She then told me about a website that she is using. FLYlady.net. I am sure they will be looking at my blog now. I went on and read some about what they do and have now signed up. Do I still feel overwhelmed.....yes, worn out.....yea, not enough time.....some days. But at least I am starting to feel like there may be hope at the end of the tunnel?....maybe :)

My kitchen sink has now been clean for two days. This may not be a big accomplishment to many of you. But for me it is huge. I could let someone in my house and not be embarrased if they needed to use either of my bathrooms or wanted to go into my kitchen. That is not always the case. So though it has only been a couple of days. I am grateful for those couple of days and am working on keeping it going.

Treat & Calendar

I am really bad about updating our home calendar. Sometime the month is two or three behind. As Danniqa has been learning more about the calendar she has decided that it is her job to update it each month. YEAH! So we just make sure we tell her what day it starts on and off she goes. Then we tell her what day people's birthdays are on. She is great!
Making some yummy pink rice crispy treats in the shape of hearts.... oh yes with Candy on them. Kev came home and asked where I had learned to do that...... from my mom I replied. He then asked well yea but with the candies. Again....from my mom. For those of you who didn't know my mom would make Rice Crispy treats into many many different shapes for holidays. Many times these shapes had some candy goodness mixed in. Thanks mama because miss Danniqa sure loved putting the candy in.

Flips

Danniqa decided she wanted to do gymnastics again. She started out and they put her in a younger group. But she is doing so well that this week she got moved up to Little Flippers. She is enjoying it for now.

Danniqa's Room

With Baby on the way our home is changing a little. Danniqa is moving into another room and she is very excited. I asked her how she wanted to decorate it and she told me she wanted an under the sea room. Well.....we can't paint our walls. But lucky for us there is vinyl. Danniqa had fun deciding where all the little critters would go and putting them on. Here is her in the process and the finished project. At least one wall.

Isn't she getting so big!!?! We are trying to find some under the sea fabric to put on the other wall. Vicki said you can put it on with Liquid starch and then it peels right off.

Updates

There is updates to come. I have pictures and things that we have done. However, I just wanted to write down a cute thing that my sweet husband did tonight.

We went to the Jazz game and then the snow came. I had on just my thin, flat ballet slipper shoes. So as we got to the car there was a larger area that I was going to have to cross in deep snow. So my sweet husband in his sneakers used his foot to swipe clean a path for me so that my toes wouldn't be freezing and snow covered. He did the same thing for me when we got home and I had to walk from the carport to the house. How sweet and good is my hubby! I love him and am so grateful for the things he does for me!

Two years ago tomorrow Kevin and I went on our first date. :) Here is what I blogged about it. Don't laugh to much...or do :)


"So I signed up for Eh*rm0ny and had my first date from it last week. Sorry I didn't blog sooner but I went on vacation. So he was a super sweet guy. In our emails beforehand he had asked a lot of my favorites. So he showed up at the door with gerber daisies....my favorite flowers. He opened all the doors for me and led me in the rooms etx. He was a perfect gentleman. It was really great. But I am not sure what I think....so I don't know whether I should go out with him again or not. I haven't decided. So we went out to dinner and then a movie, he took me to Bride Wars, definitely trying to win points. Then as we were leaving the movie he rubbed his eye and lost his contact. He found it for a second and then lost it again. It wasn't even like I could really assist him in looking for it because it fell into his lap. AWKWARD! so then he couldn't really see and was trying to drive. So I told him I would run him home so he could get his glasses and then he could drive me home. He finally agreed cause he couldn't see. SO I ended up driving him home to Bountiful and then he drove me back. So it was kind of humorous. He wanted to kiss me at least I think so, but I wasn't there so he kissed me ont the forehead. He was a super nice guy and I had a good time but I don't know that I feel it. Oh the joys.....nice guy, great date, not really sure. So I think I am done....dang."


Luckily my roommates and friends said give it another try and I did. He is an amazing man who I am eternally grateful to have in my life.

PS when I was on my trip for the week he called and text messaged me. Later I figured out that I was just freaked out because he was so good and nice and I didn't know what to do with a guy being so nice to me. Now I love it and tell him all the time how grateful I am for him and how lucky I feel.
