Decorating and friends

We decided that today we should decorate for Christmas. So I pull things out but I let Danniqa decide where everything goes and how it goes. She has a lot fo fun doing it. I love to watch her decorate, especially when she puts the nativities up. I also think that I need to have things facing out so that people can see all of the parts of the nativity. Danniqa has everything, including each and every animal faced toward the Baby Jesus. It is just sweet to me to watch her do this.

Then we got the pleasure of having her best friend Bridget come over to play. So we painted Christmas tree ornaments that Grandma Taylor had given us.

Then decorated the tree.

Danniqa decided that Jana should be an ornament.

We made cupcakes

And they played and played. It was a great day! And our house is now ready for Christmas.

Thanksgiving

I absolutely loved having Danniqa for a couple of days and just having our family together. She is such a sweetheart and when she is with us it just makes us all happy.

Here is Danniqa and Dashiel playing with the magnets. They played with them so much and made a ton of different things over the two days.

Thanksgiving Dinner

Trying candied yams. She wasn't so sure on the first bite but she liked the second. She also had mashed potatoes and definitely enjoyed those.

My nephew Asher tried some food and he wasn't so successful. I will spare you all the pictures of him throwing up. I happened to take a picture at the exact moment.

It was so fun to be with my family! I love being with them and am so grateful for all they do.

Wednesday

Because we went down for the play the night before we just stayed down at Dad and Vicki's house. We got there Tuesday night and stayed until Thursday afternoon. Sausha and her family and Morgan and his family got there on Wednesday and spent the night as well. So it was a party for 24 hours. It was fun to spend time with the family.

Jack took the kids outside and was trying to teach them to play football.
looking at the deer and pounding on the window.

Two naked babies. Though was is a cubby baby and the other is not. Mine is definitely the cubby one. They were so cute together. Jana kept trying to suck on Asher's arm.

Beauty & the Beast

Nana called and asked if Danniqa would like to go and see Beauty & the Beast at Lone Peak high school. I was talking to Danniqa aobut it and she asked if anyone else was going. I told her nope, Nana had only invited her. She got the cutest smile on her face and was excited to go. She really enjoyed going. It was actually really good. They did such a great job.

At intermission I asked Danniqa if she wanted to go and she said no. She wanted to keep watching because she was enjoying it. Intermission was at 8:30. At 9:15 she looked at me and said she was ready to go home. We were right in the middle of the row and so couldn't get out. So I told her to climb on my lap. She was out in like 2 minutes sound asleep. I love this little girl.

Danniqa's book.

So Danniqa and I were in the kitchen and there was a book called the Silly Billies. So then I said the Silly Billy and his two silly sisters, and Adam. Danniqa has a cousin named Billy who has two sisters and a brother Adam. So Danniqa decided at this point that she wanted to write them a story. (Becky if you are reading this don't tell your kids. It is their Christmas present to them. :)) So away we went on writing a story. Danniqa would write some and then we would ask her a question and then she would come up with something. She worked really hard and it turned out really cute. I am having it printed through memory mixer so that it is an actual book. She is really excited. The book follows so if you don't want to read it, don't. It is all in pictures.

Here is her original hand written story.

Then she made all of the pictures to go along with the story. We scanned them in and then typed out the story. There were a few changes for spelling and flow of story :) but in our copy of the book I am printing I am putting the original in the back scanned in so that we have that too.
