Swimming

After the family reunion some of our family went swimming. Here is Kevin and the girlies

And Auntie Lissa and the girlies. Danniqa went of the diving board that is why she has on the life jacket.

Later that night we were getting ready to leave the next day and so were Brandon and Melissa when we realized taht Melissa and I didn't need to be back right away. So we sent Kevin, Brandon and Danniqa home in Brandon's car and then Melissa, Jana and I spent a couple extra days there and then drove our car home.

We had a great time in Canada like always. Jana enjoyed her first trip and meeting her cousins.

Day 4 Henderson Lake

The next day which was Saturday we had Kevin's grandparents family reunion. We went to Henderson Park in Lethbridge. Grandma Taylor is holding Jana next to her is her sister LuWana.

Danniqa was giving Grandma Mae a hug for her present. Grandma Mae gave all of the great grandkids a goodie bag

This is most of the great grandkids

This is Kevin and most of his cousins. I didn't get a really good shot. And Grandma Mae is in the middle.

July 1st

We started out the morning going to the July 1st parade in Raymond

Danniqa was cold because it was windy. We didn't have anything with us but my nursing cover. So Danniqa put it on and then a little while later she looks at me and says " I am feeding Jana." I just smiled at her.

Then there was a family reunion for Kevin's great-great grandfather's family line. They had a bunch of gamees, food and fun. Here is Jenny(Cousin), Amy(Cousin) and Danniqa with their faces painted and wearing their reunion shirts.

Taking a family picture

Then their was fun and games in downtown(Downtown is not big, it is a few blocks. Raymond doesn't even have any stop lights if you are wondering) Raymond for the kids

On a hay ride.

Day 2 - Waterton

We headed out in the morning to go to Waterton. For those of you who don't know what that is, it is the Canada side of Glacier national Park. On the way we decided to stop at the Cardston Temple. It was really windy

Here is my cute family by Cameron Falls.

Grandma with the grandkids minus Billy who hadn't come down from Calagary yet.

Kevin hiked up Bear's Hump with the kids. While Karen, Becky, Me and Baby Jana hung out down in Waterton Village.

This was a lovely sign that I saw on the side of the road. I made Kevin stop and take a picture..... Who has ever seen a Lizard sign before? Who knows?

Canada

So the big holiday in Canada is July 1st. So we headed up there for celebration time and reunions. We drove through the night and the girls did really well. Kev did all the driving. Once we got to Canada Karen was still at work and so we just hung out at the house. Kev went in to have a nap. Jana and I fell asleep in the chair and then Danniqa joined us for a while. Then I sent Danniqa in to wake up Kevin. She went in but then I didn't hear anything so I went back to check and see what was going on and this was what I found.

She decided just to take a nap with Dad as well. It was just to dang cute.

Then this is my favorite picture of the two girls as of yet. Jana is looking up at her smiling and Danniqa has the best smile on her face. She loves her sister and is so good with her!

Then we headed off to see Kevin's grandmother. Grandma Mae

Four generation picture. The girlies, Kevin, His mom Karen and her mother Mae. It was good to see sweet Grandma Mae.

One month old

I can not believe that my little girl is one month old! Craziness. So here are some things to remember from this first month.

- Dad's nickname for you is "squirmy" because you move around so much.
- Mom calls you "the girlie" to dad a lot of the time.
- Dad says one of his favorite things is your cute little nose. Let's hope you don't have your mom's nose or it will get big.
- Your sister loves to watch you suck on your pacifier. She likes to look at the inside of it and says that it looks like a fish.
- Danniqa is also VERY good with you. She picks you up, watches your head carefully, helps get you dressed and picks up your clothes.
- We don't really know if you look like mom or dad. Sometimes Dad says you look like mom, but mom disagrees.
- Mom loves to just sit and look at you. I can sit all day long and stare at you and watch all of your faces and positions.
- It appears that you may have dark blue eyes.
- Your hair looks different in different lights. Some of the colors that have been seen are red, golden, brown, blonde. Whatever color it is is beautiful.
- You cross your legs Indian style with them drawn really close in to your body. I am sure that this is how you were inside of mommy's tummy.
- You have gone on your first trip to Canada. This means you have gone to all of your grandparents homes.
- Danniqa was playing with you this month and said "sad face" and you gave a her a sad face. Then she said "happy face" and at that moment you happened to smile. It was the biggest smile and Danniqa and I cracked up laughing.
- Dad swears that you rolled over on June 30th from your back to your stomach..... however, the bed was slanted and mom totally disagrees with him.
- You pose all of the time. You make so many cute faces and do things with your hands. We love to watch, laugh and take pictures.
- You love to have your hands by your face when you sleep. A lot of the time when of your hands or arms are over your face.
- Mom and dad both left you at the same time for the first time on the 25th. This was the longest mom had been away but we went out on a date. It about killed mom and dad kept laughing at her the whole time. However, Grandpa and Grandma Taylor took good care of you.
- At your two week doctor's appointment you were back to your birth weight and the doctor said you were perfect.
-Your sister LOVES to hold you. She will jsut sit and hold you all day if we let her. Many times we will ask her if she wants to go and play and she says no. She just wants to hold you.
- You love bath time. You just don't like it when it is over and you are taken out of the water.
-You are sleeping better at night. Most times you now wake up and eat and go back to sleep. You still eat a couple times a night. Mom is very grateful!
- Everyone who sees you tells me how little and beautiful you are. I already believe you are beautiful but I am biased. But when strangers tell me that I have to believe it. :)
- You have so many people who absolutely love you.
-Your cousins in Canada are so excited to have a baby cousin. They loved meeting you.
- You have two other little cousins that were born the same week as you.
- You are now sleeping at times with your legs out as opposed to rolled up in a ball.

Miss Jana Grace, we are so lucky and blessed to have you in our lives. I have enjoyed having you with me and love you so much!
