Rolling note

I just need to write this down so I don't forget to put it in Jana's scrapebook.

I posted on Facebook that Jana was rolling and the following was a comment that my brother Zach wrote. I was cracking up.

"Easy to roll when you are shaped like a barrel. Love that fat baby!"

Thanksgiving fun

So as it is getting close to Thanksgiving on Thrusday I asked Andrea if he and her kids wanted to come over and make some Thanksgiving crafts. So we started with one that my mom did with us when we were kids. Apples, tooth picks and candy. Here are our first turkeys.

Then we moved on to pilgrim hats that I saw on pinterest. fudge striped shortbread cookies, marshmellows, melted chocolate chips and yellow frosting.
dipping the marshmellows made us all a very chocolately mess. Then you added in eating them and some of us got a little covered. But it was fun.

Then I made some fingerpaint and we made some hand print turkeys.

Danniqa's turkeys

We were very messy but had a great time!

Rolling, rolling, rolling

Baby girl started kind of rolling from her stomach to her back last week. She has been trying to figure it out. Jana Grace had done it a couple of times last night and then today.....She was a rolling. I had her next to me on the floor and then I looked up and she was under the coffee table. I moved her back and she started rolling again. Watch out world here she comes. I guess I better clean up my floors, because everything goes into her mouth. She even tried to suck on my toes the other day. But she sure is dang cute!

Disney on Ice

On Friday we went to Disney on Ice. We were asked to take Makayla with us so she went. We had already bought our tickets so we had to buy another one. So Kevin was going to sit away from us a few rows. Luckily the seat next to us wasn't being used so he was able to sit with us.

This is how Jana Grace spent the first half of Disney on Ice.

Lion King segment.

All the princesses and princes.

We had a good time and then went to dinner.

Discovery Gateway

On Tuesday I was on Facebook and saw that one of my friends had some free discovery gateway tickets that needed to be used by Thursday. So I told her I wanted them. So on Thursday away we went. It was Kevin, Me, Danniqa, Jana Grace, my sister Sausha, her daughter Esther, my friend Andrea, her mom, and her kids Kimball and Bryndi. Here are some pictures. It was a great time.

Projects

So I am a fan of Pinterest. If you haven't been on there I am sorry. If you have been on there I am sorry. I spend a lot of time looking at cute ideas. But this week I have started working on some of them.

The first project that I did on Thursday and Friday. I asked Danniqa what she wanted to do for her Mom for her birthday. Jamie's birthday is this month. She told me she wanted to do an ABC book. (We are going to be working on an ABC book where we do some activity for each letter and then put it together. ) I asked her if she just wanted to be in it or if she wanted to see if we could get her two sisters from her mom so they can be in it. This is how much I love this little girl! Just so you know. Anyway, we were able to get Makayla and Olivia for an afternoon. So we did a ton of pictures and I took some off from their mom's facebook page. I will share a link to it in a different post if you want to go see it. So for A she wanted to do the Apple Store in Woods Cross that is by their house. T was for Temple. So I took a picture of the girls up at the Temple. I saw this pose on pinterest. I Love how it turned out.
Then I saw these Nativity blocks on Pinterest. Aren't they cute! Luckily my sister-in-law Rebecca gave me these little people as magnets last year. So I have scanned them in and we have purchased the wood. My father-in-law is cutting it down for me. Then we will paint and mod-podge the little guys to the wood. I love this nativity because my kids can play with it and I don 't have to worry about it breaking. Danniqa loves to play with nativities.

Then I saw this on Pinterest. A Book on Christ. Not only is the idea there....but they give you everything you need to make your own.

If you do some of the topics together you can get through it twice before Christmas, starting December first. I also think it will be a great book for Sundays. Here is the link if you want to do it yourself. www.sewdangcutecrafts.com/2010/12/christ-book.html. I will upload mine on another blog. I am planning on getting it printed in a hardbound book through memorymixer.com I am really excited about that one.

Then I convinced my friend Andrea to do a Thankful Tree with me. So we bought posterboard, found a picture of a tree online, and began to draw.

Then I got it laminated (thanks LeeOra). And now it is on our wall. I had to catch up a little but from now on in November(at least then) it will hang on our wall. Then we will write what we are thankful for on a leave and put it on.

And I have been working and trying to keep my house clean, and cooking, and exercising. It has been a busy week. I think I am ready for bed. :0
