Work Christmas Dinner

My employers are great for many reasons. One of them is they took us to dinner for our Christmas Party. It was a place like Teppanyaki. It was delicious.

Jana Grace was with us and she was mesmorized by the fire and the guy cooking. It was pretty cute.

It was a great night, with great company and food.

Graham cracker trains

On December 14th, we headed over to Grandma LeeOra's house to make graham cracker trains. Grandma's neice Barbara was there with her daughter Jill and her daughter Kassidy. Kassidy is the same age as Danniqa. So it was a lot of fun.

Here is the candy we got to make our trains.

We hot glued the graham crackers together to make it easier. And then used roayl icing to put the candy on.

Zoolights

On Friday night Morgan & Jennie had gotten us all free tickets to Zoolights. So away we went to see the fun. Dad is taking the picture but you have Morgan & Jennie and their 4 boys, Vicki and her grandson Ollie, Sausha, Jack & Esther and Kevin, Danniqa, Jana and I. It was really cold but we had a good time.

This is how Jana Grace was most of the night. She couldn't even see the lights but we were trying to keep her warm.

Then we went into the Santa Station. Danniqa wrote a letter to Santa. Here she is putting it in the mailbox.

Then we got pictures with Santa.

Santa was really cute and sat and talked with Danniqa for a little while. He was the cutest Santa ever.

So on December 5th we put our shoes out and when we woke up on the 6th this is what we found. We let it sit until the 7th because Danniqa didn't come over until the 7th. Here are the two girls getting ready to get their goodies. Dad took these pictures because I was at work.

I got the fame battleship from St. Nick and Danniqa has loved playing it we have played it most nights.

Crazy week

My crazy week started out last Sunday. My friend Heather and her little guy Bryton and Jana and I headed to St. George. I had work in Cedar so we took care of that but also relaxed for a few days. We didn't do much and Kev kept asking, so what you going to do. The answer was nothing. Sometimes when you have two little kids and naps it is okay just to chill in a different place.

The cloest was nice and big, big enough to let Miss Jana Grace sleep in there. Which was lovely because I sleep better when she is in a different room. We headed back on Tuesday and as the time went on I was just feeling worse and worse. I got to Heather's and really felt like I was going to pass out. But had some work I needed to do. So she watched girlie and I ran to see a few people. Then I headed home. When I got home I was feeling horrible. I had Kevin give me a blessing and I slept. I had the chills and the sweats and was just plan miserable all night. I woke up and decided that I needed to go to a doctor. I had strep. Oh yea. So I started on medicine and spent my birthday in bed miserable. The plan was to leave on Friday to go to Canada. But then Jamie called and said Danniqa could miss school on Friday so we were going to go on Thursday. All morning I was still feeling crummy though I wasn't contagious any more and I went back and forth on whether I should go or not. Finally I decided to go. We picked Danniqa up from school on Thursday and headed straight to the airport. Jumped on a plan at 5pm and we were in Canada by 7pm. It was an adventure.

Friday I woke up and was finally feeling better. We left Danniqa playing with her cousins with Uncle Brad watching and went shopping. Then that night we all headed out to the wave pool.
We were there for over two hours and everyone had a lot of fun. There is the wave pool, slides, diving boards and a hot tub.

I was sure that little girl would get tired of the pool. She did not. Everytime I kind of started to take her out she would try and get back in. She splashed and just sat and kicked her foot up and down. It was a lot of fun.

Then Saturday began. Aunt Becky was the first to start throwing up. Then Billy, Adam and by evening Jenny. So really we just hung out around the house. We hoped that this lovely stomach flu would pass us over. Unfortunately on Sunday before it was time for us to head to the airport Danniqa threw up. She was sick and sleeping at the airport, our plane was two hours delayed and she was just miserable but did so good.

We all made it home and then Danniqa got sick again. It was an interesting day. Also on Sunday baby girl turned 6 months on Monday, I will do a post about that later. But on Monday I decided I needed to do pictures. Thank you pinterest for the ideas for the pictures. Here are my favorites.

Then Monday night was the Christmas concert for the girls.

And now my house is a wreck and St. Nicholas came and filled our shoes and I feel like I am far behind. I will get caught up and then we will head to California on the 16th.

Decorating and friends

We decided that today we should decorate for Christmas. So I pull things out but I let Danniqa decide where everything goes and how it goes. She has a lot fo fun doing it. I love to watch her decorate, especially when she puts the nativities up. I also think that I need to have things facing out so that people can see all of the parts of the nativity. Danniqa has everything, including each and every animal faced toward the Baby Jesus. It is just sweet to me to watch her do this.

Then we got the pleasure of having her best friend Bridget come over to play. So we painted Christmas tree ornaments that Grandma Taylor had given us.

And they played and played. It was a great day! And our house is now ready for Christmas.
