I was asked when I was going to get my pictures up. So here we beginning. Karen(Kev's mom), Jana and I left Monday night and stayed in LA in a hole of a hotel....it was one of the worst I have stayed in... and then got up and caught the early flight out of LA to Maui. Kev worked Monday and made it to Maui Tuesday night so we were there for 9 hours without him. We got our rental car, drove around, got settled in the condos and went grocery shopping. It was a pretty uneventful day, mostly because my husband made me promise not to take Jana to the ocean for the first time without him. So we didn't. It was a gorgeous day!
Hanging out at the airport. First time with headphones, She wasn't sure about them at first.
We had the bulk head which was great for little girl. She was able to get out of her seat and have some room to move around and play. With it being a 5 hour flight it was nice to have the room.
So on Wednesday we decided to do the Road to Hana. It was a great day. It said the average time to do it was 5-8 hours. We took 11 hours. It was a long day but it was fun. In 36 miles there is over 600 curves and 52 bridges. The road is very narrow in many places. There are waterfalls, black sand beaches and beautiful views. It was well worth the drive.
At a botanical garden
She would be walking and then just decided she was done and sit down. :) It was pretty cute.
Kevin and Karen went into a cave. Jana had fallen asleep and so I hung out in the car with her. Kevin loved the cave.
Black sand beach. Jana's first time in the ocean. She loved the water but HATED the sand on her feet. When she had her shoes on she would walk into the water. If she didn't she wouldn't even put her feet down.
Kev went down to the waterfall and played for a few minutes.
Shortly after this Jana started getting really fussy. She had slept in the car a lot on the way up and we had broken it up a lot. On the way down we just did it fast. Well little girl puked, and puked and puked. It was quite the mess. We had to pull over and get her cleaned up. But once she was done vomitting all over herself she was much happier.
It was a fun, beautiful day!
