Hawaii Day 3

We went up the Island a ways. We walked up and down Front street which had cute shops. Then went down to "the underwater" boat. They had windows so we could see all the sea life and then they also had divers that went under and would find things and bring them up to the windows for us to see. Then we went and had dinner at Cheese Burger in Paradise. It was yummy.

She loved looking out the windows and seeing the fish.
 A baby Octopus
 Headed back to the dock.
 Lunch time

Afterward we went back and chilled. After I headed to bed, Kev and his mom went out to the beach.

Hawaii Day 2

We got up on Thursday and decided to have a pretty laid back day.

Getting ready

We headed out to the beach. It was beautiful, and very, very hot!

Then we went and got some yummy shaved ice! It just is not the same in the Utah, when you are in Hawaii it is so much better!

Then we headed over to a Luau. The sun was setting, it was delicious food and great entertainment.
She loved the music. However, when the show started and the drums were going and they left with fire to light the torches she freaked out for a while. Kevin had to get up and walk her further away.

Trying to have her learn the hula. She didn't last long.

She fell alseep part way through. Dad had to carry her out.

Hawaii Day 1

I was asked when I was going to get my pictures up. So here we beginning. Karen(Kev's mom), Jana and I left Monday night and stayed in LA in a hole of a hotel....it was one of the worst I have stayed in... and then got up and caught the early flight out of LA to Maui. Kev worked Monday and made it to Maui Tuesday night so we were there for 9 hours without him. We got our rental car, drove around, got settled in the condos and went grocery shopping. It was a pretty uneventful day, mostly because my husband made me promise not to take Jana to the ocean for the first time without him. So we didn't. It was a gorgeous day!

Hanging out at the airport. First time with headphones, She wasn't sure about them at first.

We had the bulk head which was great for little girl. She was able to get out of her seat and have some room to move around and play. With it being a 5 hour flight it was nice to have the room.

So on Wednesday we decided to do the Road to Hana. It was a great day. It said the average time to do it was 5-8 hours. We took 11 hours. It was a long day but it was fun. In 36 miles there is over 600 curves and 52 bridges. The road is very narrow in many places. There are waterfalls, black sand beaches and beautiful views. It was well worth the drive.

 At a botanical garden

She would be walking and then just decided she was done and sit down. :) It was pretty cute.

Kevin and Karen went into a cave. Jana had fallen asleep and so I hung out in the car with her. Kevin loved the cave.

Black sand beach. Jana's first time in the ocean. She loved the water but HATED the sand on her feet. When she had her shoes on she would walk into the water. If she didn't she wouldn't even put her feet down.

Kev went down to the waterfall and played for a few minutes.

Shortly after this Jana started getting really fussy. She had slept in the car a lot on the way up and we had broken it up a lot. On the way down we just did it fast. Well little girl puked, and puked and puked. It was quite the mess. We had to pull over and get her cleaned up. But once she was done vomitting all over herself she was much happier.
It was a fun, beautiful day!

Silliness

Sorry it has been a while. We went on our trip and while we were gone our kitchen was getting remodeled. It wasn't done when we got home, though it is nice. But having my house in disarray to this extend has thrown me off some. Luckily things are getting better. I have a sink and all the things are back in the cupboards. Still waiting for a dishwasher (YEAH, didn't have one of those before), the stove hood, knobs to open cupboards and a definitive paint color. But we are definitely closer.

Earlier in the month we were hanging out outside and my sillies decided they should get a drink. But they let the other one do it. Here they are.

While Jana played on the IPAD. At least they were entertained for a while.

Danniqa is Amazing!!

Was the heading of an email we received yesterday. Here is what it said.

Kevin, and Megan
I want to take the time and tell you how amazing Danniqa is. She is a great girl, and I love having her in my class. She is always smiling and happy, I have never seen her grumpy or unhappy. She is also a great friend to so many in our class.
Danniqa is a beautiful artist. We went to the zoo last Tuesday, I had all of the kids draw their favorite zoo animal. When I saw Danniqa's drawing, I was amazed. It was beautiful, life-like, along with time and thoughtful consideration. Danniqa is the type of girl who takes her time with everything she does. She has beautiful handwriting, and amazing cursive. When she writes, her writing is thoughtful and careful. She truly is amazing!!
She is a great girl (which you probably already know), but I thought I would tell you anyway.
Have a good weekend,
-Miss Hamilton

I love when we get to hear how amazing she is, because we do already know it!

Weekend fun

I was a major slacker this weekend and did not take any pictures. Sorry.

But we had lots of fun. I headed down south with my sister-in-law Melissa and her husband Brandon on Saturday. We stopped at my dad's house and dropped off little girl and then headed down to Mt.Pleasant for a wedding. Rusty, LeeOra's daughter got married. It was a beautiful day outside and she looked great. We hung out there for the luncheon and then headed back up to Spanish Fork. Little Girl and I stayed the night at Dad & Vicki's house.

Then on Sunday we got up and I went to the Brigham City temple dedication with my brother Morgan and his wife Jennie while Dad & Vicki played with the kids. Kevin came in the morning after work and went to sleep at dad's house so that he could join in for family dinner.

Afterward, Dustin & Sloaner stopped in on their way home and we had a great family dinner. It was really sad not to have everyone there though. It was the first fmaily dinner since Sausha & Jack have moved to Denver.

I love spending time with my family and so it was a great weekend.

A discovery I have made about myself in the last two weeks is I do much better with lists then randomly trying to remember what I need to get done in a day. I am so much more productive and such a happier person. I never thought of myself as a list person but life is going better.

We are also doing better at staying up on our house work. I am a much happier momma when I wake up and my dishes and kitchen are clean and the hosue is picked up. This way I am not starting out my day overwhelmed. The day feels much more "doable" if I am starting with a clean home, or at least a picked up home. :)

And I am also really looking forward to going to Hawaii next week. :)
