End of School program

Danniqa's end of school program was today. There program was about 30 minutes and they did a ton of songs and poems that they learned this year in order to memorize things. She did so good. She sang, did actions, danced and said her individual little line. We recorded the whole program! I know you are all dying to see it!

We are so proud of our Danniqa. She has learned so much last year and has grown a ton in so many ways. During the last song they were singing about going on to First grade. Danniqa started getting teary-eyed which made me get teary-eyed. As soon as the program was done they were told they could go down to their parents. Instead of going to her parents Danniqa ran to the bathroom. When she came back out you could tell she had been crying. I talked to her on the way home and she said it was because she was sad about leaving her teachers.

Birthday fun

With a baby coming this weekend and Danniqa's Birthday being on this Sunday we decided to celebrate with my family on Monday. Also Dustin and Sloane were up from Blanding. Danniqa helped make, design and decorate her cake. She got exactly what she wanted and did a lot of it. She is adorable!

"The Boys" - Dashiel, Myles, and Chase were staying the weekend at Papa and Nana's since their new little brother was born. So we went there and Danniqa and the boys played all day. Then it was time for birthday fun. Danniqa didn't like our signing so as you can see, she plugged her ears the whole time.

Papa and Nana got her a fairy Barbie. It was exactly the one she wanted.

Aunt Sausha and Uncle Jack gave her a cute cute shirt and dress.

And Megan and Dad gave her exactly what she wanted..... A big doll head that its hair can be colored and done in many ways. She was soooo excited.

Uncle Dustin gave her a shine nickle and got a hug for it. So then Uncle Morgan gave her a dollar to get a hug and told her he loves her twenty times more.

In addition here are some other fun exchanges between Dashiel and Danniqa.

Danniqa and Dashiel were downstairs playing with her new Barbie and they needed to start cleaning up.

Dashiel : "Danni, can we tear her head off now?"

Danniqa: NO

Then when I went upstairs to get Danniqa, Dashiel asked me. "Can we play downstairs now?"

Me: "Yes, why couldn't you"

Dashiel: "Cause Danni said we needed to play upstairs."

She says, he follows. He has learned young.

Papa asked when we were down there if he needed to pay Danniqa. I asked why and he told me because she was taking care of the boys. She decides they are going to do or play something and they go right along. Then the rest of us don't have to entertain them like we do when she isn't around.

It was a good weekend with lots of family. I didn't stay down as much as I should but I sat a lot. And today I did great! Now we just need this little girl to get here. Not to much longer.

Baby Asher

Morgan and Jennie welcomed this cute little guy on Thursday the 27th.

Asher Gerald Fife weighing in at 6 lbs 15 oz's and 19 inches long. How cute is he! And look at the great, happy looking mommy. Danniqa was excited that she got to go in and see Asher. She got to hold him twice and it made her excited to see her sister....who hopefully will be here soon.

He was so cute and sweet. Now I am ready for my little one.

Funny Conversations

So we went down to my dad's house today and Danniqa played with Dashiel and Myles all day. Here are two funny conversations that were overheard between Dashiel and Danniqa.


Dashiel: Why are you always laughing at me?
Danniqa: Because you are weird
Dashiel: No, Because I am cute.

hahaha.

Danniqa and Dashiel were playing on the trampoline and there is a big fort with ladder and play house. Here is the difference between males and females.....

Danniqa: Dashiel, let's go up to our house (pointing to the play house)
Dashiel: Why are you calling it our house?

Girls obviously play house, boys do not.... hahaha.

They had a great day and are excited to be able to play on Monday as well.

PS - My brother Morgan and his wife Jennie (Dashiel's parents) had their four little boy yesterday. He is adorable and we got to go to the hospital and hold him today. Made me, Danniqa and Kevin ready for our baby to come.

Pedicure

Today I decided it was time to go get the first summer pedicure. I love to have my toes done and the joy of sitting there being pampered. This is so not a cute picture....but a 5 year old took it. Yes that is right I took Danniqa with me. She got some pamper time as well.

I started the vibrating massage part of the chair. Baby girl started moving ALL around in my belly. It was pretty funny.

We were picking colors for our toes and I was looking for a blue for Danniqa as that is usually the color she wanted. She wasn't saying much and so I started talking about the fact I was going to get red. So then she looks at me adn says she wants red as well. So we have matching toes. Probably won't last long on her toes but it was fun.

Baby Showers

I have had two more baby showers in the last week. Thank you, thank you to all of these sweet women who have planned, thrown and participated in these showers. I have been able to see people that I haven't seen in a long time and some I get to see all the time. I am truly blessed to have such amazing women in my life! So you know if you are one of them, thank you!

We have gotten so much cute stuff for this little girl and I am feeling more prepared. Then I am talking on the phone with a friend and she says do you have.... I responded what? Why would I need that. Anyway, I continue to learn about new things for little ones. I am sure the learning is just beginning but I am still excited.

Doctor Appt Update

So we went to the doctor yesterday. We had our amniotic fluid checked, non stress test and met with Dr. Laine. I begged her to induce me. But alas.....it did not happen. However, she did tell me that she will induce me on June 4th. Which means Miss Jana will possibly come on her sister's birthday, which I said I didn't want to happen but at this point I don't care. That means 10 more days and we will be having a baby! I can count that on two hands.....what the what? I am excited and I get to admit slightly nervous.

A fun little update on Miss Danniqa. She will be turning 6 on June 5th. She is so fun and just has the funniest little personality. Last week when she was here, we were eating dinner and she looked at us and said she was done. I said okay and she took care of her plate and went on her way. Kevin and Danniqa were downstairs a little while later and Danniqa looks at Kev and says "Dad, I am hungry." Kev said "Didn't you just say you were full?" Danniqa replied. "No, I said I was DONE, not Full."

After Kev laughed and came and told me she got a little snack. Apparently she was just done with what we were having for dinner, but still wanted something else to eat.

We love having her with us. She is so excited for her sister to come. Today when I picked her up from school I was telling her that there is a chance her sister is going to be born on her birthday. I asked her if that was okay and if she wanted a sister for her birthday present. She told me yes and then asked "Can we wrap her up in a box?" I laughed and said probably not but we can put a bow on her head. She said that would be okay.

Life is good, we are happy, healthy and excited.
