Week in Review

Week and a half in review. It was been busy, I have been working a lot and so sorry I have fallen behind.

Sausha and Esther came over to visit the other day. Esther LOVES Batman. So Sausha was showing her a small clip on the Ipad. Then when we took it away she kept trying to find it again. I also was making some hair flowers and bows. The one Esther is wearing is one that I made. It was fun to have them come over. On Wednesday Kevin, Danniqa, Me and baby Jana all went to the Davis Rec center and went for a swim. It was really the first time little girl went swimming. She loved it. I figured she would as she loves to be in the water. She just kicked and splashed as we went around the lazy river and then sat in the water.

On Thursday I went down to Cedar City for work. I left the little girl with Kev. They both survived. :)

On Friday Danniqa had Parent Teacher conference. Here is a picture that she had drawn during art that was up on the wall.

Danniqa is is Miss Krall's class. We knew that she would have great things to say about Danniqa but it is still great to hear it. Miss Krall said that Danniqa is a great example to others in the class. She answers all of the questions and is usually one of the first to do what is asked. Also Danniqa is now at Second grade level for all of the subjects. So even in the last month she has moved up to 2nd grade in Math and Spelling. She is doing wonderful. Not a big surprise. She has all A's as of right now.
Then Danniqa and I did a little fun baking treat. We took green chocolate and melted and put in into skeleton molds. Then made a brownie. Let the chocolate set up, popped it out of the molds
Then put the skeleton in the brownie like it was coming out of the ground. Here is our yummy skeleton

Saturday Kevin's stepsister's son got married. So we went to the sealing at the Salt Lake Temple. Rusty Kev's other step-sister was nice enough to watch baby girl. Then I dropped Kev off and he went to sleep. We had a luncheon and reception. It was a beautiful but busy day.

Today Danniqa had her Primary program so we went over to her ward to watch. She did a great job, she sang all of the song and got up and read her part. She was a little nervous but did wonderful. Here is a picture of my two girls after the program.

Canadian Grandmas

Here is Jana Grace with Grandma Mae, Kevin's grandma. While we were in Canada, Grandma fell and broke her shoulder. Her arm was so bruised it made me really nervous. Her shoulder is a compression fracture and the doctor didn't appear to be to worried about it. Before she fell her hip was bugging her but after the fall it wasn't, so maybe it got knocked back in? How knows but we sure love this sweet woman.
Grandma Karen! Jana loves her grandma and would sit and smile and talk to her. It was fun to go up and spend some time with her. It was a little weird to be there without Kevin since I never have before but it was definitely easier to get rid of a bunch of stuff in the basement without him.

Jana is wearing a shirt that says "What happens at Grandma's stays at grandma's.

Thanks for letting us come! It was fun!

Earrings

I am sure you have all seen this already but little girl got her ears pierced. I was in Canada and on the way several people told me I had a cute little boy. So I was bugged. Kevin has wanted to pierce her ears all along and I wanted to wait until she was older. But after having her called a boy I decided that we would. I called Kev and asked him if he cared if I did it up there with out him. He said he didn't care at all. So away we went.

Jana did really well. I was hoping they would have two guns and do it at the same time. However, they did not. So we did one, I cuddle her because she was crying. She calmed down and then we did the other one. She started to cry but then they showed her a mirror, and she saw this cute little baby and started to laugh and smile. It wasn't nearly as bad as I was afraid it was going to be.
Isn't she so cute!

Earlier that day 9/10/11 I was at the dump with my mother-in-law and I stepped down. The minute I step down I knew I was in trouble. I didn't scream or cry I was more just shocked. I said I just stepped on a nail and I picked my foot up with a board attached. Karen pulled it out of my foot and we saw six nails and blood. My foot as been pretty sore but it is doing fine.

Oh the joys!

3 months

Jana Grace and her cousig Atticus
I realized that between spending Labor day at my dad's and heading to Canada I didn't get a 3 month post down. And since this is basically my journal I figured I better get it in.

3 Months -

-I am holding my head up completely on my own.
- I giggle and laugh.
- I smile all of the time
- The person that I smile the most for is my sister
- I love to talk and jabber away.
- I love to lay on the floor
- I have completely discovered my hands. I love to just move them around and look at them.
- I still grab on to things with my toes. My sister likes to put things in them and see if I will hold on. The other day she put a noodle in my toes and I held on. Mom told her to stop putting food in my toes. I just laughed.
- I love bath time. I will just kick and smile.
- I love being outdoors. Grandma LeeOra will sit on teh porch and rock me and it is my favorite.
- I am a good traveler.
- Aunt Sausha weighed me and I weigh 15 lbs. I have gained 4 lbs in a month! Oh my mom's milk is doing well.
- I like tummy time and will try and get my toys.
- My favorite thing right now is my right fist. I love to put it in my mouth. I will even knock my pacifier out to suck on my fist. Mom doesn't like this and is always removing my hand.
- I am grabbing at things and everything MUST go into my mouth.
- I still wake up several times a night but I go right back to sleep.
- I am a very happy baby.

Oh how we love this little girl. She is so fun and cute. She is usually smiley and happy. She does have fussy times but we survive it. She is so loved!

Grandma's

So Jana's passport came on Wednesday. I had been saying if here passport would come I could go to Canada this weekend because Kevin was leaving anyway to go to Texas for the football game. Then here passport showed up so we called Kevin's mom to see if she wanted us to come. She has been talking about cleaning out her basement for a while.......so I decided why not get it done this weekend. I don't think Karen is ever going to want me to come back. However, we got the room downstairs all sorted out. This is all the stuff we got out of one room. We still need to organize it but progress was made.

So

Labor Day Weekend

I decided to spend Labor Day weekend down out my dad's house. Kev came down with me and Jana on Saturday then he went to work and then he came back down on Monday with Danniqa. Meredith, Royal and Atticus were staying there for the weekend and then would be headed back to China on Wednesday. So why not stay and see them as much as I could. Here are some pictures from the weekend.
Asher, Atticus and Jana. There were all born with in eight days of each other. Here is the order that they were born in. Aren't they cute. :)
Vicki was holding both of the babies and Atticus was reaching his arm out. Jana held on to his arm and then she started sucking on it.
All of the grandkids. We had a hard time getting all happy faces but at least we have all of the faces. I didn't get one with Dad and Vicki because my battery died. I will have to get it from someone else.
The little girls
Hanging out on Monday.

Cousins

Last year my brother Zach and his family moved to China. They came back to visit this summer and we were so excited to see them. Zach went back a while ago and Meredith and the boys are leaving this week. I am really sad to see them go. So I went down to my Dad's house to visit with Meredith and the boys yesterday and I will be spending most of the weekend with them. We decided to take some pictures of the boys and I am sure we are going to be taking a lot more over the weekend with all of the cousins.

Here is Atticus and Jana. Atticus was born 3 days before Jana. He is sitting in a dip but he is actually longer then her. She is definitely chubbier, and heavier when you hold them.
This is Royal and Atticus! Oh how I love these boys! Aren't they so cute.

Here is Royal holding Jana. He had heard us talking about how she weighed more then Atticus and so he wasn't sure if he wanted to hold her or not because she may be to heavy for him. He had to assure him that she didn't weigh that much and that he would be fine. Royal is four. Oh were does the time go, I can't beleive he is that old.
