Sister

I have many other things to blog about but today I am going to stop and blog about this person! I am so grateful for many people in my life but this is one of my very favorite people in the whole wide world. After having three brothers I wanted a sister. I was so excited to get her. She was so cute and cuddly.
We did not always get along. Many times we fought and drove each other crazy!

But we have had a lot of fun together! I was able to go and see her this last weekend. I hadn't seen her in a couple of months. This is abnormal for us. Other then missions and teaching English in another country this was the longest that we had gone without seeing each other. So I was able to go out and spend a little bit of time with her.

I am so grateful for her! She is so good to me and I love her tons! Happy Birthday Sister! Hope it was a great day!

Football

Because Kevin's sister Melissa had her baby on the 11th Kevin got to have her ticket to the BYU game on the 13th. He was pretty excited. He wasn't to happy they lost the game though.

I have decided that I am not a fan of football season. Mostly because of Kevin's work schedule. He works Friday night then comes home and goes to sleep. If it is an early game he wakes up watches the game then goes back to sleep and then off to work. If it is a later game he sleeps gets up watches the game and then goes to work. In either of these scenarios it leaves me without a husband on Saturdays. We already do this on Sundays because of church so it just makes for a really long weekend. I will be glad when football is done!

misc. pictures throughout October

Part of the reason October has been so crazy is because my house has been in the process of being remodeled. It will be great when it is all done. I have been testing out paint colors, my banister to my stairs got replaced, my kitchen is being redone and the flooring in both bathrooms. So when we went to Hawaii we moved all of the kitchen into the Living room.

Kitchen in Living room :)

New banister
new cabinets, counter tops and flooring.
Jana helping sweep up all the mess left behind.
Then making a mess by dumping all the fish crackers on the floor
Jana hanging out with her friend Regan, while Danniqa was at her best friend Bridget's birthday party. Bridget is Regan's older sister so we were helping mom out. It was Jana's first play date.

Last weeks snow storm rolling in as I was out driving around for work.
Little miss got a snow suit. She promptly fell over and couldn't get up. Being the good mom that I am I started laughing hysterically. So Danniqa tried to help her get up and proceeded to drag her across the floor. I just kept laughing.

Appointment

On Friday the 12th I met with my OB. She checked me and baby Drew. We are both doing well. My blood pressure is doing okay and he looks like he is growing well. His heartbeat is strong. In three weeks I will go back and have an ultrasound and meet with the doctor again. At this point everything is going well. And we are just hoping and praying it stays that way.

Baby Jake

Kevin's sister Melissa had her baby on Thursday. Baby Jake Richard Carter was born on 10/11/12 at 12:34pm. he was 7 lbs 4 oz and 20 inches long.
Kev took a very close up picture... ugh

He is very cute and we are excited to have him in the family. He will be just 3 months older then our little man.

Hawaii Day 4

We got up and listened to some conference on Saturday morning and then headed out. We went up to a swap meet. It wasn't as good as the one over in Honolulu but it was still fun.

Then we went on the drive to Hakeala Volcano National park. It wasn't as curvy as Hana but it still had quite a few curves. It was a beautiful drive and it went up in elevation quickly. One of the things that amazed me about Maui is the huge variation in land and what grows there. You have dry desert and lush forest, just huge differences.

We had been out walking around with Dad and Grandma but Little girlie and I started to get cold. So we went back into the car. This was little girl waiting for Dad and Grandma.
After we were done we went home and packed up and headed out to the airport. We were suppose to be there another day but with standby you go when you can get a flight. So we took off. It was a great trip and I was sad to go.

Karen and Kevin flew United and little girl and I went Delta. It is a five hour flight overnight. There wasn't enough seats for little girl to have her own seat which is not normal for us. She slept on my lap for the five hours. I did not sleep much. She slept, I just couldn't move. when we finally got home I looked down and I had elephant feet. I had CANKLES! I was so not happy about it. Luckily they have gone back to normal.

Hawaii Day 3

We went up the Island a ways. We walked up and down Front street which had cute shops. Then went down to "the underwater" boat. They had windows so we could see all the sea life and then they also had divers that went under and would find things and bring them up to the windows for us to see. Then we went and had dinner at Cheese Burger in Paradise. It was yummy.

She loved looking out the windows and seeing the fish.

 Headed back to the dock.
 Lunch time

Afterward we went back and chilled. After I headed to bed, Kev and his mom went out to the beach.
